Abstract:   (10 Views)
With the increasing use of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare, serious questions have been raised about the future of the nursing profession. This letter examines the possibility of replacing nurses with artificial intelligence systems from technical, ethical, cultural, and human perspectives. Research shows that although AI plays an increasing role in optimizing clinical decision-making and nursing education, it lacks capabilities such as empathy, contextual judgment, and effective interpersonal interaction. As a result, AI should be used as an augmentative and complementary tool rather than replacing nurses in the care process. This letter emphasizes the need to develop ethical frameworks and intelligent policymaking for the synergy between humans and technology in the healthcare system.
