Although the exact mechanism of the reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases followed by physical activity is not known, it seems that the physical activity plays a role trough influencing on risk factors such as fasting blood sugar and lipid profile healing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the fasting blood glucose and lipid profile in active and inactive females. METHODS: In this study, 50 women with 30-40 years old (25 active and 25 inactive) were selected using using purposive sampling. Blood samples were taken after 12-10 hours of fasting. To analyze the measured parameters, the independent t-test was used (P ≤ 0.05). FINDINGS: There was a significant difference between active and inactive women in terms of total cholesterol and high and low density of lipoprotein between active and inactive women (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between two groups in levels of fasting blood glucose and triglyceride (P>0.05).
